Anthisan

Anthisan is a range of antihistamine skin creams from Sanofi, containing mepyramine maleate 2% w/w. Both products in the range are applied topically to the skin and are used for the symptomatic treatment of insect bites and stings, and nettle rash.

The Anthisan range

Anthisan Cream 2% 25g is the larger tube in the range. Anthisan Bite & Sting Cream 20g contains the same active ingredient in a smaller pack, suited to a first aid kit or travel bag.

How Anthisan is used

Anthisan is applied thinly to the affected area of skin. Both products are for external use only and should not be applied to broken skin, near the eyes, or to large areas of the body. Read the patient information leaflet supplied with the product before use.
