There are so many benefits to ordering your prescriptions online. You can save time by avoiding a trip to the pharmacy, which can be quite an undertaking for those living in remote areas or those with limited mobility. Ordering your medicine online is also a great way to make sure you never run out of the essentials.

It’s not just prescriptions that can be sent to your home; you could stock up your entire medicine cabinet with essentials to make sure you never run out of plasters, aspirin or antiseptics. How to order medicine online

If you receive repeat prescriptions for any medication, you can request these be sent to you directly in the post. This will help you to avoid forgetting or running out of medicine when you need it most.

To set up an online repeat prescription, you need to send your prescription from your doctor to your chosen pharmacy or dispenser. This means you don’t have to visit the doctor’s office every time you need to order a repeat prescription.

Repeat prescriptions can be ordered directly from the pharmacy website or by telephone with your doctor’s approval. When you receive an online request for this type of medication, it will come in secure packaging and at no extra cost.

This is how ordering medicine online works:

  • Your GP (general practitioner) writes your prescription as usual.

  • Your prescription is sent to your chosen pharmacy.

  • The pharmacist checks your prescription, packages everything up and sends it securely in the post.

  • If you receive the same medication periodically, this can be shipped automatically, so you don’t have to lift a finger.
